I apologize for not being better at keeping up with this. I have made a promise to myself this year that atleast I will make posts maybe not pictures but atleast words of wisdom. This years track season is fast approaching. Coach Jewkes and I have been meeting twice a week since the first part of the year with about 20 athletes who are not currently involved in a winter sport. A handful of you ventured to BYU to the indoor meet. Indoor gives a good look at what is going on for the outdoor season. This year both our girls and boys teams have incredible depth and both Coach Jewkes and myself are excited to see how the season transpires.

Jimmy and I handing out our 45 medals to the team. The team placed in nearly every event. Looking strong this year, lots of depth!

Girls took 2nd place overall out of 13 teams that were in attendance! They had a great day! These were the girls who were still around when we presented the trophy. Yeah!!!

First two weeks of outdoor track practice......

I just wanted to let you all know, that Jimmy and I are very pleased with how hard everyone on the team is working this year. Our numbers our up and we have a lot of potential. The team is coming together really well.
T-shirts are being ordered and will be here for our first home meet.Everyone will be receiving a shirt. Team warm ups this year are available for purchase. The cost is 34.00 for the jacket and 20.00 for the pants. Please pay the high school office and bring coach Ashley your receipt.
Our home meet is one week away. We are excited to be hosting such a big invitational. The amount of time and effort that it takes to put on a meet of this caliber is very demanding and time consuming so we need all your help to help make the meet move smoothly. Please set examples to the other schools that will be in attendance.
Thanks for all your help at practice putting equipment away we coaches appreciate it.
Have fun and cheer your team mates on! A unified team is a winning team!

For those of you that will be attending Moab it will be a great first meet for the Freshman to see how a big invite goes and for those of you who have been already know its going to be a blast!

This year not only is Coach Allen going to be yelling your splits for distance runners and screaming for the sprinters, meandering to the throwing pits and learn something, and cleaning the sand from my teeth in long jump and listening to Jimmy and his knowledge in High Jump ( which Im hoping to learn what he knows)I am going to be taking tons of pictures, and posting them on the blog. I felt like last year when we got the results back from a meet (five days later) most of you didnt get a copy or you did and its somewhere in your sock drawer. Sooooooooooo............. Im going to do my best at adding the individual times, heights, jumps, and throws to the blog so you can check them, compare them, and well just have easier access to your times places also then you might check to see how the rest of your team did as well. Those results are lengthy and usually we just look for our own name and carry on. Im going to break it down in each meet and add to it all year. If you have pictures or music you would like to add let me know and I would be happy to add it.
